Once the student progresses to the Intermediate book, I also add Selected Duets Volume 1. I have found that playing duets strengthens listening skills and intonation, plus they are fun! Currently, I am the Percussion Content Manager for MuseScore, a music tech company based out of Kaliningrad, Russia. Before the pandemic, I frequently performed with professional orchestras such as the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance and the Springfield Symphony Orchestra.
