I first began teaching while still completing my Bachelors degree at William Paterson in 2011. Most of my students were beginning level piano students, but I had a few more advanced students as well as some people studying saxophone with me. My teaching philosophy is to combine teaching the technique of an instrument with learning songs as well as theory and improvisation/composition. Everyone learns technique, but learning music that I wanted to learn, learning how those songs were written (theory), and eventually elaborating on those songs (improvisation), and writing my own music (composition), was what really got me deeply engaged in the act of practicing and making music, and I have found over several years of teaching that it keeps my students engaged and enjoying the learning process. I have played with an extensive list of musical groups in various styles. I have been a part of the Hazleton Liberty Band (which has roots tracing back to the Civil War) and church groups since high school. In college, I was a part of smal woodwind chamber ensembles, concert band, choirs, marching band, big bands, and small jazz ensembles. I continue to stay active in many diverse musical groups. I start each student with the Frances Clark Series. This is terrific in introducing all musical components to the learner. It starts off right away using ALL the notes on the piano. Black notes are used exclusively in some repertoire. Each building block is built upon the next and it just nicely adds , in a non-threatening way to what the student has learned before. I intersperse these books with other more seasonal books and the student and I build on that. Read More

I started teaching in 2006 in Bulgaria and since then have had teaching assistantships at Temple and Penn State Universities where I have worked with very diverse group of students with varying experience, backgrounds and age. At Temple I have worked with beginner kids at their Community Scholars program while at Penn State I worked with more advanced non majors and undergrad performance majors. I absolutely love teaching bass/guitar lessons and recording techniques, and I've been doing it since just after my Berklee College of Music days. I learned from the best (Dave LaRue, Oscar Stagnaro, Bruce Gertz & Joe Santerre) and from years and years of performing live with countless original and cover bands, stage bands, wedding bands, jazz ensembles, big bands, orchestras and marching bands. My experience as a recording/mixing engineer has greatly helped to mold my overall musicianship, as I have had the unique opportunity to work with many incredibly talented musicians, songwriters, producers, engineers, actors and creative-minded people. By focussing on the music they enjoy incorporated with some of the techniques required to play the instrument their growth becomes apparent quickly. Im a singer and vocal instructor that loves what she does. I started singing when I was 5 years old, at 9 I started recording audio covers of songs I liked. I was always passionate about music and singing. In 2020 I graduated from college of arts. I teach and sing pop, jazz, soul, blues. I have participated in various competitions and festivals.
