My goal is to unleash the students' quest for beauty and creativity.  I explain thoroughly the music that the student is working on and we practice together.  For those who want to practice more at home, I provide clear guidelines.  I have a special program for adult students who enjoy playing duet pieces together with me and works for two pianos.. For beginning brass students, I typically work on developing on their embrasure and proper playing technique. Getting everything secure right at the beginning is the key to having players who are comfortable and will result in greater successful down the line. Most of my teaching time is spent in the classroom where I have taught music from pre-school through high school. I began my teaching career with seven years of teaching students with multiple handicaps and moved in 2001 to my current postion where I teach from pre-k through third grade. I currently also direct a middle school choir and our annual middle school musical. I have always been into drum education. Ever since I was little I would watch drum educational DVD's and also took drum lessons which helped me become an inspired musician.
