I'm a quietly passionate instructor motivated by my love of music and my students. In 2016, I graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts in English, with a Minor in Music. As an undergrad, I often found my love of music creeping into my major coursework-- including my thesis! I've loved practicing and performing for over a decade (which is also more than half of my life!). From receiving my very first "Band Student of the Month" award in the fifth grade to helping soon-to-be-fifth graders achieve that goal themselves, I cannot express how much I love this instrument and the opportunities it has provided. My first lesson teacher engrained in me the importance of sharing knowledge with colleagues and the younger generations. The economy is rough. Your child still deserves to learn music. Growing up, it was not always easy for my parents to afford piano lessons. Despite that difficulty, I developed a love for music, (and particularly the piano) that has lasted throughout my life. I have played the piano for twelve years, and continue work to improve myself as a pianist every day. I play 3 different instruments. I originally started out on the flute. I played the flute during high shool and college. I studied under Karen , and Leslie Timmons. While I was at college, I became interested in Music Therapy. As part of the curriculum for Music Therapy, I also studied guitar and piano.
