I'm a fairly new private lessons teacher finishing my Music Education/Composition Bachelor's degree. I have studied with some of the best flute and drumset players. I have performed many genres throughout my musical career. I have also played music for many different settings such as church, football, parades, celebrity shows, nonprofit organizations, rallys, and competitions. Understanding what a student already knows, seeing where there may be gaps to fill and what new material they are ready for makes it a exciting experience for both the student and me. For guitar students I like to use a combination of methods, depending on the student. I like to use the Old Town School's book for their first songs or Essential Elements for guitar. I like to use a method for guitar that emphasizes reading notes instead of just tabs, and also emphasizes rest stroke and free stroke. Read More

I focus on Suzuki and traditional methods, depending on the needs of the student. I believe that all students learn differently and that lessons must be flexible to accommodate the learning style of each individual student.
