I've been in the field of music education, production and performance for over 20 years. I have spent half of my life helping others find their path in music. One of the most important lessons I have learned as a teacher is that...."people don't care how much you know until they know how much you care!!!!" I understands that building a relationship with a student is just as important as the information I teach. Read More
Instruments: Trumpet Trombone
I graduated in 2011 from SMU with my music degree in Trumpet Performance, and have been teaching privately in the Dallas area ever since. Although while at SMU my focus was mainly on orchestral playing and classical techniques, I am equally comfortable playing jazz and commercial styles, and honestly probably play those styles just as much as I do orchestral work now. I love teaching lessons and view each student as a unique way to approach the instrument. Read More

I’ve taught private piano lessons to both children and adults since 2008, tailoring my instruction to match each student’s goals, interests, and musical background. Whether in a formal church setting or private studio environment, I’ve worked with a range of learners—from absolute beginners to music professionals preparing for performance and ministry. My approach emphasizes musical literacy, ear training, creative expression, and the joy of discovery across genres. Read More
Instruments: Flute
As a teacher I feel like a travel agent, guiding students on their own "flute journey." I have taught children, high school students, pre-college division music majors, college students and adult amateurs - students who have played in school and community orchestras, churches and for their own personal enjoyment. I use the Blocki flute method for beginners. Read More
Instruments: Piano
For children beginners, I typically start with Hal Leonard's "More Popular" books. Once the student has begun to learn how to sightread and grasp the fundamental elements, I begin to introduce a repertoire suitable for the student's performance. For students who are a little bit older and have a little bit more experience I ask them what they would like to learn. I am a firm believer in asking the student what their goals are and what they are interested in. Read More
Instruments: Voice
During our lessons we will address correct breathing and posture and different vocalises that will strengthen and free up the voice, giving the student more power, more range and more freedom/agility. Singing with freedom is a different path for each singer, and I will prescribe different exercises for each area of the voice we are trying to improve. You will also be assigned songs: some classical, some musical theater and then whatever genre is your favorite. Read More

I am 23 and have been working in music since I was 11 when I started to learn mixing and DJ techniques through the internet. I did this until I was 13 and picked up guitar through my middle school's Mariachi program. I have been playing guitar now for 10 years and have played multiple genres from mariachi, punk, metal, indie, alternative, and I now record and produce music for my bands as well as others.
