Determining the range of an individuals learning styles and how they operate allows me to better gauge their needs and accomplishments. whether I should be quite literal, or use analogies, metaphors and similes. Knowing a students aural depth helps me guide listening. An idea of kinetic aptitude and tendencies helps me construct the "procedural memory" of playing efficiently. These groups I played with US Army Bands as a trumpet and horn player. These Bands included the following Army Bands: 191st, 116th, 484th, 312th, 159th, 59th, 84th, 300th, 104th, 451st, 389th, 6th, Ft. Ord, 133rd. My active duty performances included active duty 84th, 389th and the 33rd.
