For all my students I design a fun atmosphere where they feel comfortable, stimulated and encouraged to absorb musical knowledge. Depending on their musical backgrounds and their ability I discuss with my students and their parents(depending on student's age) what is their primary goal to achieve during the lesson, what style they want to concentrate on. I was awarded as Best Musical Actress by HOLA 2020 in the production of El Barbero de Sevilla with New Camerata Opera in the role of Elena. In April 2020 I was to make my debut as Frasquita in Carmen at Rose Theater at Lincoln Center with MasterVoices which was canceled due to COVID19. Bad habits can not only set you back, but take a great deal of time and effort to un-do, and can even cause physical pain or damage. It's important to note that for beginner piano students I will use a method, but for more advanced-beginners and intermediate players I focus on chord theory and rhythmic playing, as I am a self taught pianist and do not teach classical piano. I like to impart a holistic love of music in my students, without boring them with too much history or theory. About three summers ago, I played a show in my hometown of Montclair. Afterwards, I struck up a conversation with a woman who had just seen me play. She asked if I could give her son guitar lessons and, even though I had never taught before, I agreed.
