During my time at Hartt and NYU, I have performed with the Hartt School Orchestra and Wind Ensemble, the NYU Orchestra, as well as the hart School Contemporary music ensemble, and performed recitals as a soloist, and as a member of my flute quartet and flute and guitar duo. I like to keep things simple. I focus on breathing and diction exercises and I like to discuss with my students about their performance. My style is very friendly and open and I will push my students to succeed. Singing comes down to muscle memory and each session with me is a mix of working out the mind and vocal muscles. Good fundamentals fix a lot of problems :) At one point, all my students (who have the self-awareness to do so) will stop themselves and correct any vocal mistakes made during practice without my input. I have been playing the drums since age 10. Starting out playing rock and roll but quickly started playing Jazz, Latin, Samba, and Show Tunes. After graduating high school, I went to attend Montclair State University's Jazz program. After College I quickly got my masters degree from New York University in Jazz studies as well, where I studied with some of the most important people in modern music, including but not limited to: Lenny White, Lenny Pickett, John Scofield, Alan Ferber, Billy Dummond, Tony Moreno, and more.
