First discovering my love of performing and problem solving through chamber music, I have since received a dual degree from UMass Amherst in Music and Social ThoughtPolitical Economy, and I am now pursuing my Masters of Music in Cello Performance at Boston University. What works for a 5 year old child, doesn't work for an autistic child. I’m flexible in my teaching, some students prefer classical music more than others. Im willing to try a new music style; if one loves a piece one will practice it in addition to the given piece that develops his(her) finger technique, dynamics, phrasing, articulation, so children can perform a song rather than simply reproduce notes. I have been fortunate to be able to teach at a prestigious private school in New Hampshire for over 30 years and have worked with a wide range of students, both high school age and adult to help them develop their skills as budding saxophone, clarinet and flute players.
