       I have taught music since 1994, when I was in college. What was at first a part time job blossomed into a full time job when local music stores and luthiers began recommending me. This was a lot to handle, but I loved every second of it. Seeing and being a part of a student's progress is one of the most rewarding things I have experienced in my life. For beginner students, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. Once the students starts to understand the fundamentals, I begin to incorporate elements of beginner music theory. I do this because it allows the student to take to fundamentals and gives them the tools to get creative with the knowledge that they already have. I am a guitar teacher and music educator based in Flemington, NJ. In 2012, I graduated from the Berklee College of Music (Magna Cum Laude) with a BM in Audio Engineering and Composition. I went on to complete my Masters in Musicology from Boston University, where I wrote my thesis on non-worded religious musics set by Estonian contemporary composer, Arvo Prt. I am now completing my PhD in Ethnomusicology, focusing on music that accompanies Thai kickboxing in Thailand. Read More

I consider myself mainly a jazz/cabaret singer, but I sing in many styles and genres. I also write my own music. I am working on my third album. I am very proud to say that my music has been played on radio stations throughout the U.S., Canada, South Africa, Australia, and Russia, and worldwide through the Siriusly Sinatra channel on SiriusXM radio. For my more intermediate, advanced students, I will check to see where your fundementals are, and help you blossom from there.
