I am not a method Nazi. I teach what the student needs. If i am teaching a student bass, but they need the agility of a cellist, then I find material suitable to gain that outcome. However, I do understand that students and parents need track-able goals to perceive progress. I am always happy to discuss what method may be best used after I have observed the students aptitude and desired outcome. Read More

With beginners, I always explore the very basics with them. This means we work on breathing and embrochure formation together. Along with this, we also learn the basics of reading music. From there on out, I use Breeze Easy Trumpet Method, Arban, Clarke, Irons, Bai Lin, Caruso, and Stamp to develop fundamental technique, based on what I think each student needs. With advanced students, I focus on interpretation and musicality, and developing a more induvidual approach to the horn. Read More

TashaRenee is a great eclectic vocalist that has been singing all of her life. Although she has gospel roots, she decided to learn more about music as an undergraduate and graduate student in the Music-vocal performance degree programs. She has been a part of several casts in Operas across the nation, with her professional Opera debut being the Strawberry Woman in Porgy and Bess in New Orleans, Louisiana. Read More
Instruments: Piano
For beginning students who are children, I typically start with the Alfreds Basic Piano Library method and theory books. Ideally, a new song is assigned every week and the student will practice daily. During lessons we will review the piece that the student has practiced, I will provide feedback, and we will move forward to a new skill. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. Read More
