For beginners I ask what are their favorite songs and go from there. If they do not know then I usually play a popular song. I hope to get the beginner attuned with playing along and the importance of timing. With my guidance the student builds their own beginner book through our lessons. I give all students activities to work on during the week that I expect for them to show me at the next lesson. Read More

I am a passionate musician, educator, conductor, and composer, and I have been happily obsessed with music since I began piano lessons at age 10. I joined the school band program in 6th grade, and since then, I have learned how to play and teach many different instruments. My primary instrument is percussion, but I play piano, low brass, clarinet, bass guitar, and I also have perfect pitch. I also have had opportunities to share my love of music by arranging and composing for my own students as well as being commissioned by school band programs. Read More

I taught private guitar lessons continuously, while in highschool and college. In between engagements in my performing career, I would always return to teaching. In 1992 I was certified by Dr. L Scott Martin, Phd from Juilliard, to teach vocal performance at his Academy of the Arts in Denver, and I have continued to the present, to coach young singers to express themselves with music. I have been blessed in helping many of my students to reach some impressive accomplishments in music, such major record deals, appearances on TV and Film, and getting in to some great music colleges. In 2013 I began my own home business, offering music classes for babies to preschoolers and private piano lessons for beginner and intermediate players. Read More
