A native of Seattle, Christine began her musical studies as a classically-trained trumpet player. Moving to Chicago and collaborating with jazz colleagues led her to pursuing a master’s degree in vocal jazz. She was accepted into one of the nation’s leading jazz institutions, the University of North Texas. There she focused on her new passion for singing, honing her skills in piano, songwriting, arranging, and improvisation. After a few years my family and I moved to the greater Cincinnati area where I currently teach as a high school choral and drama teacher while serving as the theatre manager as well. i use many different books for different students. whether they are children or adults. i typically use hal leonard books such as fast track or play today or essential elements. other method books i teach are mel bay, alfred's, warner brothers, kjos, fjh, suzuki and many others. i have my own fun and fast way i teach to learn about music and your particular instrument. i motivate each student accordingly. and i guide them thru the many challenges music has to offer. in all, music should be a part in everyone's life. I think it really depends on the needs of each individual player.
