Overview:
I have a great enjoyment and love for music since a child. Since then from 2015, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a degree in both trumpet performance and jazz studies. I saturated myself to know a great deal and variety of genres in music. In 2016, I toured for a year playing around 10 different states and venues for audiences around the country. So now I want to share these experiences and teach to a younger (or older) generation on being a musician in their own right.
EXPERIENCE
The teaching I have done started roughly around my earlier college days. I wasn't a teacher then, but I did help out with my fellow musicians on some of the basics that they couldn't understand from the teachers. Since then, I occasionally helped out with fellow musicians with their music on advice and teaching. Some of things I want to setup are music education with special programs of performances of the urban areas. I have been teaching since 2015, for both private and clinical teachings, so my students are encourage to do regular practice routine base on my materials. My teaching is base solely on the love of what they want to play and the material they can play comfortable to them. I love it when my students have questions about musical things and they are especially encourage to bring whatever they feel they want to talk about everything is an teaching subject based around music. Whether it be new music, compositions they created, music they love to listen, troubling parts or just want to share their experiences in band, I'm happy for them to bring those things up that we can share those subject and discuss in detail about. I want my students to have an enjoyable time during lesson, classes, and clinics, but balance everything into teaching and learning something new!
METHODS USED
First and foremost my method of teaching are nearly based upon my own teachers teaching style, which was using a small material to teach everything on it. Example, I would take a small little line or phrase of music, I would teach them the construct of rhythm, time, tempo, the style, articulation, and then apply the exercises or fudamentals around learning how to play the line properly. For young beginners, I personally start with Standard of Excellence book to learn the basic fundamentals, and get them setup. When I know they have progress I then will add a newer level of material work on to build fundamental from different other books while simultaneously working on how to play repertoire properly. With each newer levels and adding a new subject to talk about, that will be applied. For older or more experience players, I look into finding certain problem area that deappreicate their advance playing and overall sound. When we find these problem, we works specially on them to basically get rid of. Require a great amount listen to one self, there will be silly moment that will be "OH I GET." But with the high interval of listening to one self, I'll still keep it fun engagment for them to understand.
LESSON STYLE
I want my students to do the best they can, and I greatly love seeing there progress and development for the music they love to hear. My style is always been cool, calm, and patience since I know things take time to developed that I understanding of a point takes awhile to sink in. So encouraging my student work at it little by little in a natural way, giving them the praise they need for all they work and practice will brings their love to continue on. With this, I can be adaptable to their own needs and help them specifically on their own problems. This from my own teacher who has help me in my career,I do to my students the same way also. Being adaptable.

I learned trumpet reading music as a kid. Brett helped me learn to pick up melodies by ear with some ear training practice, some tips and tricks and encouragement for just giving it a go. Brett is a skilled and resourceful teacher who has an infectious enthusiasm for the music. I really enjoy working with him.
