I have served as a teaching assistant for the 2016 Ervin Monroe Summer Flute Choir Workshop, where I played side-by-side with the members of the flute choir and offered advice and guidance. I believe in teaching future string musicians there is only one way to make the best sound and teaching how to do this from the beginning. I want the students to understand how their instrument works by demystifying the mechanics. Depending on your experience, I will base it on that. There are many things we can learn without books and then as you progress we can introduce method books and eventually repertoire. I believe in slowing down to speed up, which means really taking the time to learn fundamentals before going beyond that.
