I'm a well-rounded and extremely passionate musician who loves sharing the ability to make music with as many people as I can. In 2017, I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a focus on Guitar Performance. Perhaps my favorite part of being a musician through most of the past decade has been having the opportunity to play with other musicians of all different backgrounds and experience levels, from fresh-faced rappers to regionally established folk acts to spectacular guitarists with decades of experience and international master classes under their belts. When I was 8-years-old my father gave me his old guitar. From then on I spent most of my free time playing and learning music. I enrolled in structured lessons when I was 12 until I went to Berklee College of Music for a year's time. Afterwards I decided that I wanted to dedicate my spare time to music and not make a professional career out of it. I started out playing cornet in elementary school, switching to Baritone horn in middle school and switching to tuba in the high school band. I also began playing bass guitar in those high school days in the late '60s and early '70s. Playing in rock bands, I decided to Study music at Norfolk State and Old Dominion University, after high school, wanting to learning more about music. I began playing professionally with the Norfolk Symphony, played in the pit band for touring Broadway shows, and subsequently hit the road as a touring musician with popular regional dance bands.
