Instruments: Piano Organ Synthesizer
I've been teaching children at different ages and in different scenarios, if it was musical theater or middle school children preparing for their prom. I also played extensively in Israel's most famous acting college, where I gained the ability to guide actors towards a more polished and honest interpretation. I also taught older people and found that to be a very rewarding experience. Many people report that I explain difficult concepts very well and have a way with teaching, which is great because I enjoy teaching tremendously. Read More
Instruments: Piano
I am a life-long musician who has studied classical music tirelessly from an early age. As a competitive pianist, I accomplished many dreams early in life and had retired from performing by age 18. I took every opportunity to perform - from accompanying the high school choir to performing at Carnegie Hall. Now, I find myself anxious to start teaching again as I can never really leave music behind. Read More

For beginner students on drums I use Ted Reed's Syncopation and Stick Control by George Lawrence Stone. These books provide a great foundation for every drummer and once we put together a great foundation our potential greatly increases. I also assign a great deal of listening for my students from all areas of music. For more advanced students we do use Syncopation and Stick Control as well but there are a number of other great resources such as The New Breed by Gary Chester or Creative Coordination by Keith Copeland. I incorporate different styles of teaching including 'rote learning', which is essentially learning by ear and imitation, as well as uniquely tailored exercises. I incorporate different warm-up etudes that I use with each student to build basic fundamentals of learning the instrument. And I also encourage students to practice scales and drills to develop their muscle memory. I also believe that learning to play an instrument is as much a physical experience as it is a mental one that requires discipline, repetition, hard work, and patience. Read More
Instruments: Voice
I began teaching voice lessons my senior year of high school. When I got to college I began work as a show choir director in Hartford, CT. I have learned so much from my students. I have learned to teach in a way that students of all ages will understand. An example of this is teaching a young student how to use their head voice when singing high notes. This is important because a student can damage their vocal cords if they use chest voice high up in the scale. Read More
Instruments: Saxophone Music
For beginning students I always start by asking what they hope to gain or what attracts them to music. Having an understanding of an individuals needs is the first step. From there I follow with fundamentals using Rubank Elementary Method on their respective instrument. for someone who already has an understanding of their musical goals I accommodate my lesson plans based on their current state along with adding exercises that will help ease any difficulties they may be having.
