Instruments: Guitar Electric Guitar Djembe Acoustic Guitar
I have been passionate about playing guitar since I was 17 and my love for music has grown over the years and expanded. I've had a lot of experience with improv blues and rock through taking classes with Berklee College of Music in 2014. My main focus right now is writing my own songs and also teaching my students to love guitar. I have played benefit concerts in the area as well as at cafes. Read More
Instruments: Lute Double Bass
I've been teaching double bass since high school when I was a volunteer teacher at Austin Soundwaves, an El Sistema inspired organization. The organization's cause was to provide access to music-making to underserved communities in the Austin area. I really love being able to give back to the community I live in by sharing what I've learned over the course of my career and education. Similarly, I've provided additional lessons to students in the BYSO Intensive Community Program as a part of the music pedagogy courses I took at Boston University. Read More

I am a big proponent of a hands-on learning approach that relies heavily on musical interaction and performance preparation. The best way to improve as a musician is to play, so I try to pinpoint what the student is interested in playing and focus our attention toward that, all while developing foundational music skills such as rhythm, sight reading, theory, ear training, and harmony. I like to start my students on a series of warm-ups and technical exercises that I've found to be essential in developing good technique for students of all abilities and experience levels, and eventually work up to playing repertoire that will strengthen their fundamentals and fulfil their musical interests. Instruments: Piano Voice Violin Trumpet Trombone
For children my teaching style is very reward based, I love stickers so always give them one once they've mastered their song for the week and such. Lots of encouragement and positive feedback and working through the difficult things in a positive manner. For adults I will teach based on you! If you are really looking for a fun hobby with the music we will be more laid back and relaxed with it and can bounce around and learn all sorts of different things! Read More

Im an easygoing yet disciplined teacher, and there is nothing I love more than the learning process. I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor of Music degree in Guitar Performance and Music Business. I have cut my teeth performing in wedding bands, event groups, and supporting myself as an independent artist. Real life experience has been my greatest teacher; having had the opppurtunity to discover music with my peers, and instructors has been a huge part of my success. Read More
Instruments: Piano Flute
For beginning students who are children, I often use the Andrew Scott Method for flute. When the student is considerably advance I will use the Rubank Book for flute begginers. Once the student is at a comfortable level, I will proceed to introduce him to Body Mapping. For adults, I will prefer to first of all know more about their learning abilities, other experiences with music/sports. Than, I will find out more what they are looking to learn and work from there. Instruments: Voice
The first half of a typical voice lesson is spent on vocal warm-ups and vocalises. These consist of scales, arpeggios, vowel unification, breath work, etc. and have been accumulated from many teachers over a variety of traditions. Vocalises are the most important part of a solid vocal technique. The second half of lessons is spent working on repertoire either brought in by the student or assigned by myself. Concepts from vocal warm ups will be applied to repertoire, and students are expected to practice on a regular basis outside of lessons. Read More
