I have taught trumpet, composition, and music theory lessons privately for almost 10 years. I am a recent graduate from the University of Oregon with a double Masters in Trumpet Performance and Composition. I have performed with many ensembles, including chamber, orchestra, and band, fulfilling a variety of roles such as performer, conductor, and administrator. Music is very similar to computers in that they both must be learned in small increments or steps in order to see the bigger picture. I have taught students of all ages and skill levels, ages 5 through adult for piano, and ages10 through adult for saxophone and clarinet, all skill levels. Many of my past students have gone on to perform in competetions and recitals and still have a great passion for playing their instrument and continue to practice and perform. I received my Bachelor of Music degree in Saxophone Performance from Cal State Fullerton in 2017, and moved out to CT to pursue my Master's degree at the Hartt School and study with Carrie Koffman. Hello, I love both music, the violin, and working with children of all ages! I recently graduated with a Master's degree in violin pedagogy and moved to Pasadena, CA. While I am trained as a classical violinist with an undergraduate degree in violin performance, I also was privileged to work with the bluegrass fiddler/songwriter Becky Buller for several years along with performing bluegrass music with my family (I am the oldest of 9 children and we all play the violin along with many other instruments and play and sing together).
