He has been a private piano teacher, accompanist and arranger in Tucson and Los Angeles since 1980. He is currently teaching in the Canoga School of Music, Canoga Park, CA He has taught as a substitute teacher for the Las Virgenes Unified School District and taught a piano class and music theory at Learning Tree University from February 1991 to 2002.
Since gratuating PIT in 1989, I have had a steady stream of students...aveaging 15 to 30 at a time. I have calculated that I have give nearly 15,000 private drum lessons since 1990. I have given clinics at high schools, music stores like Sam Ash and music conventions like NAMM. In 2009 and 2010 I traveled to Rothchester NY to teach at the Drum Road Trip with Bernard Purdie, Rod Morganstien, Zoro and Jason Bittner.
I aim to create a safe and open space for students to try, make mistakes, and make progress in a supportive environment. We laugh, we consider, and we seriously make beautiful music happen, often very quickly. I like to carve each lesson for what my students need, and it has a fun, experimental element: special technical exercises for your voice, listening and repeating work-outs for breath and pitch, and even more specifics for your goals. I ask vocalists to improvise and get in touch with their inner singer-composer, because so much of understanding others' music is understanding what's inside you! We'll have great fun and learn so much!
I am a passionate instructor that has love and experience for music performance. In 2007, I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a Music Performance degree. Shortly there after, I moved to Los Angeles and attended the LA music academy on a scholarship. Perfroming all over the country and the world has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. Opening up for Jason Mraz in front of twelve thousand people at the Olympic stadium in South Korea was incredible! If you love something enough and are willing to fight for it, anything is possible...
I've been playing violin for the past 13 years and have devoted my life to the amazing world of music! In 2010 I began to study music education at the Unviersity of Redlands in southern california, and went on in 2012 to study Violin performance at California State University, Northridge. Now holding a bachelors of music in performance, I am currently pursuing a masters degree in Viola performance. Some of my greatest experiences as a musician have been on the road. In past four years I have spent over 12 months touring as a violinist and music director with the Celebrant Singers, performing in over 30 U.S. states and in the countries of Haiti, Colombia, Portugal, and France. It is my passion to not only perform, but to teach, and to lead my students to find their own love for music along the way.

The main benefit of taking music lessons is that they help instill a love of music! Students who take music lessons are much more likely to enjoy many different types of music, because greater understanding increases musical appreciation. Music lessons also have been shown to improve students academic performance, resulting in higher test scores in maths, sciences, and linguistics.

Unbelievably Awesome. My daughter is a beginner and has some special needs. Justin is more than patient and helpful while being completely thorough and pushing her (in a good way) to try harder. He is encouraging and teaches effectively. I am very pleased. More important, so is my daughter. Thank you Musika! So grateful we found your service and connected with Justin. We highly recommend him.

Brett is an accomplished musician, who shared his knowledge at a level that my five year old understands. He is polite and relaxed in his mannerisms but take a serious approach to focusing on the lesson. He is very patient and engaging with the attention span you'd expect from a kindergartener. His motto ever is "sometime you learn faster by going slow"

My son is truly enjoying his lessons with Chris. He looks forward to them and is motivated to practice. Chris is conscientious and shows up on time and whenever he is supposed to. He communicates clearly if rescheduling is ever required and is accommodating when we need to change the day. I would recommend Chris to anyone.

I have been playing the drums for about 5 years and I have to say that Alvaro is very patient. He has opened me up to new styles of music and I can now play a Songo groove! What I liked most was that he was flexible in what I wanted him to teach me and would also bring in new material specifically to what I wanted him to show me. Overall, great patient teacher and would highly recommend! Thanks Alvaro!

Omar is a great teacher as he provides expert instruction AND the right amount of encouragement. He is a professional musician on several instruments, yet he is patient with beginners! He also has gone out of his way to purchase an appropriate book for me, strings to re-string the cello, and extra attention to tuning. I appreciate how he explains and demonstrates exactly what a beginning cello student needs to know.

I feel she is a very professional teacher and I have already recommended your company and her to my friends who have children that play musical instruments. My 8 year old son has never been so enthusiastic to play his violin. His skills have improved almost exponentially since we have began lessons with Lauren. Your company has exceeded my expectations and I am very happy to have found it online.

Dave is a fantastic teacher. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to students that I think is invaluable. At the same time, this does not limit him from working with beginning students. He is very communicative with the parents as far as schedule changes. We are so grateful to have found him!!

I started taking voice lessons from Ali when I was 19 and a sophomore in college. Though I was hesitant to be starting "late", I felt very comfortable with Ali and her teaching style. We identified several key issues that really made a difference and improved my voice technique. It was fun to sing popular, beautiful songs in our recital! If only I lived in Los Angeles, I would still be a student. Highly recommended!
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
