I use Alfreds guitar method books for guitar and bass. Piano I use the Bastian and others. I teach from both my song books, and by thier cd or audio tracks. I teach each student individually and move them forward to performance level. I teach how to read music and music ear training. Theory training is also available at lessons as needed. Once I get the student past the basics on to intermediate level, I can listed to cd or phone recordings and reproduce the instrumental part on the spot.
My teaching experience began 10 years ago when I taught flute lessons to students at the local middle school. However, when I was attending the Manhattan School of Music, I was a voice major so I really needed to focus on singing and I decided to only teach voice lessons after that. I studied with some of the most well-respected voice teachers of this generation, and they helped me to become not only a better singer, but also a better teacher. I find it so rewarding to watch my students succeed and become more confident performers. I believe that is my primary job as a teacher: to inspire singers to find their true voice and to give them the tools to sing in a healthy way. I am currently on the voice faculty at MusA Academy and also maintain a private voice studio with students ranging in age from 6 - 73! I also work closely with professional actors who use their voice on a daily basis.
I'm a guitarist, pianist, flutist, singer, song writer, composer, music director and a full time music instructor for piano, guitar, flute and voice. I've been teaching for more than 17 years now. My students have professionally performed, gone to music college, won singing contests, and landed lead roles in musicals.
My teaching experience dates back to college, as I was the Vice President of the collegiate choir, and small group leader for international tours. After that point, I had the privilege of working at the elementary, high school, and collegiate levels teaching voice, piano and acting. I have over ten years of experience as an orchestal conductor and music director for Azusa Pacific University, Cal Baptist University and Life Pacific College. I am a member of EMC, and am privileged to have performed at The Colony, SCLO, Candlelight Pavilion, Disneyland, and many other regional theatrical locations. I encourage a consistent rehearsal schedule, utilization of multiple musical styles, technique, performance accountability and creativity!

Being I'm a woman, I was a little apprehensive having a male teacher (he knew this), however, after my trial lesson I realized he knows what he's doing and I had nothing to worry about!! He is very knowledgable on the piano and vocal techniques. He has a big vocal range so he is able to hit the high notes to be able to show me how I need to sing it. He is also phenomenal on the piano. I would highly recommend him for vocal and piano. Also, I don't know how to sight read music and he is teaching how to. I've been taking lessons with him for a month (my trial lesson was on 1/11) and I have already seen a huge improvement. I am an intermediate level singer looking to improve my vocal technique, breathing and improve my confidence in my singing abilities, Alex is definitely helping me do that.

Michael is exactly what I was looking for in a teacher. The first thing he did was to determine what I wanted to get out of lessons, and what my existing skill level is. He is now aiming me in the right direction - and he is clearly skilled, experienced and knowledgeable, in addition to being very easy to get along with. I'm very happy.

Andrew is very encouraging and uplifting, but also isn't afraid to tell you your weaknesses. Andrew also is super awesome with scheduling. Fits around your schedule all the time. He really knows what he is doing and can help you reach your goal in the time you would like to. Couldn't have gotten a better teacher, who continually helps me grow and pushes me.

Having taken 6 years of piano lessons myself when I was young, I am very happy with Osmond teaching my daughter. He is very personable and helping her to enjoy piano. My daughter loves the fun songs she gets to play and I really appreciate how he is integrating even in the first month fingering, chords, beats, and hearing the music. She's getting a very well rounded training and she's loving it!

Bill has been great with my 2 young children (age 3 & 6). He has integrated games into the lessons - they have enjoyed showing us how to play the games when it is time to practice piano. Bill has been easy to contact and rescheduling has not been a problem if we have a conflict at our regular lesson time.

Stephanie is an excellent voice teacher! Our 10-year-old daughter enjoys her lessons with Stephanie each week. She has an amazing way of connecting with our daughter through music. Stephanie knows how to offer constructive feedback in a positive way that keeps our daughter interested and wanting to learn more. I would recommend Stephanie without hesitation.

Jessie is the finest musician I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I find her overall concept of approaching an instrument to be both comprehensive and effective. Each technique she has acquired has made it possible for her to tailor her method to a variety of ages and individuals. I cannot speak more highly of Miss Jessie's abilities. Her lengthy and impressive cradecials speak for themselves. I recommend no hesitation in seeking her services!

I have been playing the drums for about 5 years and I have to say that Alvaro is very patient. He has opened me up to new styles of music and I can now play a Songo groove! What I liked most was that he was flexible in what I wanted him to teach me and would also bring in new material specifically to what I wanted him to show me. Overall, great patient teacher and would highly recommend! Thanks Alvaro!
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
