I'm a friendly and passionate instructor who loves working with students of all ages. In 2016, I graduated from Newcastle University with a Bachelor of Arts degree with in Drum Performance. Between 2014-16, I led a funk/fusion and salsa ensemble each consisting of 10-12 members and toured the UK and America's East Coast. In 2016, I did the Independent Artist programme from Musician's Institute where I learnt more about Music Business, Recording and Production, which helped me understand how to make it as a drummer in real life once you attain a certain skill level. I started playing the violin when I was 7 years old and changed to viola at age 15. I am a passionate instructor who does best for understanding and enjoying the music. I've participated in 4+ orchestras, film music, contemporary music. I have 2+ year of teaching experience, played the viola over 10 years. For young students I use Faber and Alfred books. As well as Famous and Fun books which have popular tunes to help keep the students motivated to practice. My older students work in the standard Hanon exercise book which helps develop agility and evenness in the hands and fingers. I also teach my students all 12 Major and minor scales, arpeggios, and chord progressions. My more advanced students usually learn classical music and Jazz/Blues Rags series by Martha Mier. Read More
