I'm a passionate, friendly, and motivated instructor who loves working with children and adults of all ages. I love to be able to share my love of music, both through performing and through teaching. I make sure that beginner students understand the instrument and start with the proper technique before they can develop bad habits. I try to pick a song or finger exercises for them each lesson as well as a few exercises where they can develop their reading skills. As a student becomes more comfortable with the instrument that is when we can get into more challenging pieces of music as well as different scales and exercises that will help them with their improvising as well as their overall understanding of music. My teaching experience began in college. I quickly realized that I most enjoyed helping people on an individual basis. In addition to performing in myriad musical idioms, I have made a career of private teaching, having conducted over 26,000 lessons since 2001. My performance experience weaves its way into many lessons, as I am able to share “real-life” experiences about the practicality of the material that we study. Many of my students have gone on to become performers, band directors, and scholarship winners. Read More

For young and/or beginner vocalists, I focus on classical fundamentals, as they are the roots for success in all genres. This means working on breath support and learning about vowel placement. The next step would then be developing and strengthening the singers vocal range and repertoire. For adults and/or more experienced vocalists, I focus on what the student is trying to accomplish and help them move towards their goals. Read More

I’m a fun but focused instructor who has been teaching for over 10+ years. After graduating from Berklee College of Music in 2014, I spent 3 years touring the world with a variety of famous rock and pop groups playing some of worlds most famous venues. It taught me the value in hard work and dedication to a craft as well as teaching me organization and time management skills that I apply to every facet of my musical jobs. Read More

As far as my methods, I like a healthy, fun approach. I like to keep my students engaged while teaching them proper voice technique. While working with soloist, I focus on the strength of that singer. We will work on what they are good at and make it even better. Also, anything that the student is struggling with, I like to try various methods until the student understands. We will work on who you are as a artist and how you will present yourself and your voice. Read More

I have complemented my music education by performing continuously over the last 20 years, including many cities and stages around the world, from my early years in junior ensembles to The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, Symphony in C orchestra, Lancaster Symphony Orchestra, and the iPalpiti chamber orchestra of international laureates. Probably my greatest blessing and professional accomplishment is being invited to perform as the soloist as well as a chamber and orchestra musician at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall (NYC), Napa Valley Performing Arts Center at Lincoln Theater (CA), Kimmel Center (Philadelphia PA), Walt Disney Hall (Los Angeles CA), John F.
