I started teaching guitar and bass in 2003 just a few years after the movie 'School of Rock' came out and I decided I wanted to do something different with my students -- I wanted to teach to them how to be in their own dedicated bands. I taught them to write their own songs and how to have stage presence while in group classes at the same as teaching each individual band member their specific instrument in private lessons before or after band class. There are many kinds of method books that all get the job done, but ultimately growth is up to the student and if the material they study can maintain their interest. For this reason, I treat each student individually and work with their own goals and interests. Some students are more interested in modern genres such as rock, blues or country, and will in turn be more likely to rely on tablature throughout their musical careers. Read More

I taught private piano lessons to about 15 students ranging from 3 years old to 38 years old for about 2 years while teaching in the School District of Philadelphia full-time. During my time at Temple University I was in Premier Wind ensembles playing Euphonium and Trombone and performed with the Temple University Diamond Marching Band for 4 years. During my marching band experience I was featured on The Wolf on Wall Street starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Annie starring Jamie Fox, and performed on stage with Fitz and The Tantrums in addition to weekly performances at Lincoln Financial Field Temple University football home games and at the Boca Raton Bowl Game. My students can expect a teacher who is patient, understanding, and demands the very best from them, according to their abilities. Teaching has always been my passion and I believe that children gain so much more than just an elegant skill. Students of all ages gain confidence, self-esteem, and a good work ethic. Music is linked to better math grades, improved memory, and general. I love that my job is helping students achieve their goals. Read More

I am goal oriented in my own career, so I instill the same mindset in my students. At the beginning of each month, we will have a check-in to establish both short-term and long-term goals. The previous month’s goals will be analyzed and our approach going forward will adjust accordingly to continue our trajectory. Musicians need a reason to practice. That is why I encourage my students to seek out performance opportunities in their homes and out in public. Read More

Playing music on the piano without sheet music is something my future student will learn how to do even with ear training.once again practice practice practice . All of this requires practice. I have spent 7 hours a day even after school from 13 years old to now being on the piano. This is called commitment. I'll teach numbers once the student starts to learn how to build 7th,9ths,11th chords. Read More

My teaching style begins with my assessment of each student's abilities, physical, mental, and emotional. By this method I am able to design a realistic program for each student. Patience and encouragement go hand in hand, acknowledging their accomplishments all along the way. Once some fundamentals are established, I add pieces that the student has an interest in learning. In preparing for recitals I often accompany students which adds not only enjoyment for them but encouragement for them to overcome hesitancy to perform publicly. Read More
