The teaching experience I have, started at the university, with some colleagues that wished to learn to sing better or to just for Hobbie. For the past 5 years I have helped many singers, professional and young students in different styles of music, in classical, pop and mariachi. As a social service for my university I gave lessons to kids, and conducted choral pieces with senior students and adults. When teaching students who are young, I would first start off with the fundamentals. For example, I would explain music terms to them and develop the new language from there. Once the student has a basic understanding of music, I would then talk about the Circle of Fifths and encourage them to participate in events like concerts or festivals in school. Usually, each lesson starts with some warm up ear training and performing, we then transition into practice pad or snare drum exercises to help develop technique, then move on to reading and understanding notation, and finally we focus on drum kit performance and some improvisation.
