Instruments: Voice
All levels of voice are welcome in my studio! For beginners I generally begin with giving the basics of how the voice functions and focus on breathing for singing. Then we ease into vocal exercises. After the first few lessons we move on to singing a simple song. I encourage the student to bring in music they like and would like to sing. I begin teaching every student with the same vocal exercises to strengthen the voice and then we discuss different styles and how the voice can change stylistically but not technically. Read More
Instruments: Violin

My Music teaching experience dates back to my Junior High School days, being only 14 years old, as I began teahing other students who played and performed in school, along with me, and also instructed some of their younger siblings. Encouraing regular practice on a consistent daily basis, is one of the key points that I emphasize to all of my students, as it produces student progress and aquisation of essential Musical literature. Having studied guitar formally for 4 years at Berklee, I pull from materials that I found most helpful to me during my own education. These include scales, chords, modes, picking patterns and even solos. Aside from fundamentals and exercises, my favorite method of teaching is asking a student what they want to learn, a song they enjoy for example, and doing my best to teach the student how to play it and why it works from a harmonic perspective. My teaching experience dates back to my junior year of high school. I first began providing private lessons to local children that attended the local middle school that I had also attended myself. Consistency is the most important thing that I have stressed to all of my students. Consistency in practicing is vital to training your lips, fingers, and lungs to match what you have in your mind. I have also found that younger students enjoy playing pop and jazz more than they enjoy classical pieces. Read More

At our first lesson, we will discuss and set long term and short term goals, and each lesson we will work towards satisfying what we have set out to do. As a teacher, it is important for me to always meet the student where they are in their development of their love for music on any given day. I want to keep your passion alive, but I also understand going through the occasional musical funk. Read More

Hello! I am a multi-talented music teaching professional proficient in Violin/Viola/Piano. I completed my Bachelor and Masters of Music degree in Violin Performance from the Juilliard School and began my teaching career coaching pre-college students in various strings ensemble classes as a Teaching Assistant. Few distinguished highlights in my early career included debuting with the New Haven Symphony Orchestra at Woolsey Hall, as the winner of the 1999 Young Artist competition, performing with the Yale Philharmonic as a guest soloist, in part of the Young Rising Concert Artist Series.
