Different learning styles, whether it be visual, aural, verbal, or physical, are present in all classrooms. Unfortunately, teachers do not always cater to every students needs. I believe that differentiate should be a huge part of every learning environment and plan to include multiple learning styles in my teaching environment to best provide for the student. I firmly believe that every student has the ability to find and feed their creative through any art form. Read More

No matter what skill level, the fundamentals are always the same: practice, patience, and practice some more. But the key is patience. For beginner students, patience will be vital for overcoming the independence element of controlling both hands and feet. For intermediate students, patience will be needed to advance their technique with practicing rudiments. And for the advanced students, patience through repetition is crucial to fully unlock their potential. I will teach them to combine previous techniques while mastering syncopation. Read More

I am a creative, passionate trombonist, composer, arranger, and teacher who enjoys just about any aspect of music. I graduated from Stetson University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Music in Trombone Performance, and was recently accepted to the University of Central Florida's Master of Arts program, focusing on trombone performance and music theory. So far, I have performed on alto, tenor, or bass trombone in Florida All-State orchestras, the 2007 Honor Orchestra of America, and nearly every possible large and small ensemble at Stetson University, as well as with the Youth Brass Band of Central Florida and the Southern Winds. I am a voice and piano teacher who especially loves working with children. I graduated in 2009 with my Bachelor's degree in Music, and I have been singing since I was a young child. I have worked with children of all ages, teaching various subjects, but music is my absolute favorite thing to teach. I love performing in recitals and events and watching my students develop a love for performance as well. Read More

The main reason I became a music teacher is because I love seeing a student improve over the weeks, months, and years. Learning a new instrument, no matter at what age level you start, is a real challenge. It can absolutely become frustrating for even the most eager and ambitious learners at times. I think positive reinforcement with students at all age levels is an absolute must. One thing I think is important is being able to realize is that everyone makes mistakes. Read More

I doubt you will be very happy about it in the long run. On the other hand, even very simple goals, when pursued with love, almost always provide a bedrock of UNIVERSAL musical information, no matter what form the goal might take. In other words, anything you want to work on musically will teach you more than JUST a specific song or piece; and I consider it my job to help you see just how much of a treasure is waiting under the surface, which you can then use for all other pieces of music you explore in the future. Knowing that people learn through a variety of methods, Blanche Marie draws from several well known method books to personalize the instruction to the pupil's needs and strengths. She believes that choosing one method book for every student doesn't make sense because each student's needs are different. The method books used depend on the needs of the students and the instruments they are learning. Blanche Marie tries to incorporate duets within the lesson whenever possible to assist the student in growing from playing notes to making music. Read More
