For my fresh starter students who are children, I make sure they are aware of the best chords for beginners, then teach them how to comfortably move between them, this helps lay the fundamental foundation for guitar. For my adults I first and foremost get to know their musical interest, who their favorite players are. I then based on experience level will guide my instruction to suit my students needs and maintain fun engaging lessons! Read More
Instruments: Flute Recorder
I use a combination of books for flute students since they are better suitable for flute study. Some of them are for example; Gariboldi execerses and Trevor Wye along with several books with simple flute solos for beginners. For more advanced students there is also i wide variety of Etude books such as Kohler etudes or Anderson studies. I use as well as solos up to level 6 from various Baroque, Classical, 2oth century Composers for flute. Read More

As an adult I had a few bassoon lessons. I also sang in Chorus and Choir from elementary school through high school. My other experiences with music were with theater and dance. I studied ballet (ballet en pointe), jazz and tap dance. Read More
Instruments: Trumpet
My teaching style is to go at the student's pace but also to gently encourage and motivate all along the way. In this way, the students has the incentive to work at their own pace while I try to move the momentum along. The whole idea is to have fun while learning and to motivate each other by learning and playing music together. My additional teaching style is to also listen to music together and assign trumpeters to listen to. in this way the student is able to hear what other trumpet players sound like and can hopefully acquire the sound they like and want in their ear to emulate it in their own sound. I have had the opportunity to tour the country with a band out of Austin, Texas, as a signed professional musician with a national act. I recorded a love show for XM Radio, and have had a song played on NPR. Read More
