At the same time, we also work on a song that interests the student within reason. There must be a basic grasp of the fundamentals of technique. First and foremost, I believe in healthy and safe singing. I believe that there is healthy and safe singing in every genre, but one must have an understanding of bel canto singing first to be able to sing properly in every genre. Read More

My love for teaching began as a peer tutor in college. I tutored students in piano, guitar, bass ear training, and music theory. I began to love teaching when I noticed the change and progress it creates within people. While in college, I taught at a musical theatre camp as a music teacher. I taught music theory, ear training, and vocal music. Right after I graduated college I was accepted into the music education program at Teachers College Columbia University where I received my masters degree in music education along with certification in New York state to teach Pre-K through 12. I first started in my native Barcelona at the Taller de Msics, where I taught college-level students, jazz guitar, improvisation, and small jazz ensembles.
