It is important to pass on the education and experience I received. In my opinions, this is a duty of the artist. So I have always tried to share what has been given to me. I have had both formal and ad hoc students over the years. Although I've taught other subjects, such as theater and computer science, music is my metier, so it is the subject I am most fond of and love to teach the most. Read More

Music is the power, engine and trigger of the best emotions and feeling I can think of. That's my main consideration about a lifelong relationship with music. I pick up the guitar for the first time at nine years old, after piano and cello, but I properly started my academic path at the Conservatory "Ghedini" (Cuneo) and the Academy of Modern Music in Turin few years later. I then graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, guitar performance with Summa cum Laude. Read More

With my youngest students I like to start note reading early to build a strong foundation. I often use the Hal Leonard Guitar Method Book 1, or the Christopher Parkening Guitar Method Vol.1 2. Depending on the student's playing style, we may use other books or handouts as well. I also teach with guitar tab or tablature, which can be an easier way to start learning songs and riffs. With all my students we will go over chords, melodies, strumming, picking(finger-style or with a flat pick), hand-eye coordination. Read More

My personal teaching experience began while studying in Phladelphia at teh Unviersity of the Arts. As I started my 5 year Music Education minor/clearence program, I started to adapt what I was learning and develop my own style and flow of teaching. I began tutoring my friends and fellow classmates after school in the music library on campus, teaching them compex jazz theory, ProTools/Logic DAW shortcuts and processes, piano accompaniment, intervals, inversions, rhythmic dictation, bascally reinforcing what we learned earlier in the class. I encourage students to be open and ask questions during their lessons. I want to get a clear picture of every student's learning style and interests to help them achieve their goals. I also encourage students to participate in bi-annual recitals which I put on in partnership with other music teachers in Santa Clarita, as performance is an excellent motivator for practice and consistency with lessons. I make it a point to stick with a regular lesson schedule, as consistent attendance is an extremely important factor in progress. Read More

I've held a variety of teaching positions since then that have enriched my abilities and experience as a teacher both privately and in the classroom. This includes being the Jewish Music Specialist and song leader for four different camps over the years, show directing at School of Rock, and single-handedly implementing the music program for Heketi Charter School in 2017-2018. Last but certainly not least, the transition to online formatting due to the COVID-19 pandemic has forced me to explore new pedagogies and business models alike. Read More
