My style is open minded. I first try to know the students' goals and prepare a course of action accordingly. Then I try to know how much the students already knows and how much talent they have. That allows me to determine how fast I may go with them or how much I must drill and develop a particular skill before going on. Although I have experience teaching both private, one-on-one lessons and group lessons in a classroom setting, I find that one-on-one lessons is the best way to learn. This allows students to go at their own pace and not have to feel rushed. Not to mention, it's way more enjoyable to learn when you have a patient teacher giving you support and motivation.
