My students have gone from 5 year old beginners to very accomplished piano and guitar players. The student gets to pick the first two songs of the lesson, and I pick the next 2. That way, they get a lot of choice for the lessons. With the pandemic, the students have been very consistent with not missions lessons, which is pushing their progress as well. For beginner students, I start with some fundamental basics but I always try to keep the information relatable to each individual student no matter what their skill level. I take a very individualized approach for each student and tailor the lessons just for them depending on what the student is interested in and their skill level. I like to teach by demonstrating information through songs that each student enjoys.
