I have helped students prepare for performances in Cincinnati and Japan, scholarship auditions, and begin the flute from scratch. This wonderful experience reaffirmed my belief that anyone, regardless of age or ability, can learn to make music. My experience teaching goes back to high school in which I tutored students in multiple subjects including Spanish and English. I also would help my section to improve as a section leader. During my college years, I worked as a graduate teaching assistant which allowed me to help students primarily in music. Part of my duties included teaching smaller classes and tutoring students in music theory and ear training.
