I have been teaching on and off for the last two years. I have taken classes in Instrumental Pedagogy designed to teach us the best skills to teach students of all ages. I teach in either the students' home or in my living room. I've found that the most important part of a student's musical education is their outside practice and, usually, students are only willing to practice if they are having fun and feeling motivated and encouraged. My first teaching experience came in the summer of 2008, when I served as the Music Director at Camp Robin Rogers in Spencerville, Ohio, a program serving children with developmental disabilities. This wonderful experience reaffirmed my belief that anyone, regardless of age or ability, can learn to make music. I am pursuing my Bachelor of Music in Flute at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music as a student of Randy Bowman, Principal Flute of the Cincinnati Symphony. My personal musical highlights include performances with the CCM Philharmonia, Wind Orchestra, and Chamber Players. You can also find me in the pit orchestras for many theaters in Cincinnati. I'm a dedicated and hard-working teacher that works to provide a consistently growing love and appreciation for music in her students. In 2016, I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Clarinet Performance at Morehead State University, and in April 2018 I graduated with my Master of Music degree at the Cincinnati-Conservatory of Music. I have performed in various professional and semi-professional musical settings including: 2 years in the Cave Run Symphony Orchestra, playing out of clarinet/flute/saxophone books for multiple musicals, and most recently traveling around the Midwest states playing clarinet for the Guerrilla Chamber Collective (a chamber group dedicated to performing new music by up-and-coming composers). I have been playing the clarinet for 33 years.    Although; clarinet is my primary instrument, I actually started my musical career on the viola and have been playing that for 34 years.   During the course of my career, I have had the unique experience of leading a bag pipe band.  I have also made a special emphasis on my studies in Latin percussion due to my background in Salsa music.
