I graduated from James Madison University where I studied with Carol Kniebusch Noe, played four years in the JMU Flute Choir and in the JMU Wind Symphony. I was very involved with the Lusaka music community, were I performed every month as a soloist as well as part of the chamber orchestra. Later on we moved to Uganda, were I continued my journey teaching and performing. In Kampala I started working part time as an assistant music teacher and flute teacher at the International School of Uganda.
