If the students have music from classes in school, I will also assist them with that. I try to keep the lesson light, and enjoyable! I find that learning and memorizing songs and simple repertoire is an effective way for beginning and intermediate students to advance, and that following students interest goes a long way for the learning process! I enjoyed problem solving with my students and figuring out the appropriate exercise or explanation to help them get over a particular hurdle.
