M.M. Clarinet Performance B.M. Music Education
I have over 10 years of performing and teaching experience in a variety of genres. My past private teachers include members of the Philadelphia Orchestra, Delaware Symphony, PA Ballet, and New York Philharmonic.
I have performed with the Delaware, Lancaster, and Reading Symphonies, Media Theater, 11th Hour Theater, City Theater of Wilmington, West Chester University Theater, Villanova Theater, and Upper Darby Summer Stage. Additionally, I do solo and chamber music concerts independently. See my youtube link for my performance of Six Studies on English Folksong for clarinet by Ralph Vaughan Williams.
I vary my methods according to student level, age, and practice habits. For example, for the advanced high school student I often mold my teachings around college audition requirements and all-state, regional band auditions. Otherwise, particularly for younger styudents, I am not very performance oriented. I think it is more important to learn to "play" at music rather than plan and prepare for multiple recitals.
A typical lesson will include Warm ups (for breath and tone development) Technical exercises (scales, etc.) Etudes (changes weekly) Solo repertoire (long-term study)
Barb is an outstanding player and teacher.I had the privilege of teaching her clarinet when she was a student in the fourth grade. She is friendly, kind, and a most excellent teacher! Highly recommended! Anna Mauro Foley, Newark, DE

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
OkAre you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
