I was part of the school symphony so took students from my class and tutored them on their technique and stamina to play richer, louder, longer tones.  After becoming involved with more children as well as children with special needs through my work in university I began teaching musicality to kids in different settings, which led me to start teaching the piano to beginners. Playing duets and tunes form the basis of lessons. You will learn scales and chords, rhythm, tone and being in tune. I like to include a bit of playing without reading music, depending on what your inclination is. For more advanced flutists, we will play Bach, Mozart, Telemann, Quantz (a flutist!) and whatever music you like and bring to the lesson. David began playing clarinet in 1972 at age 6. A few years later he added the saxophone, and subsequently, the flute. He has been playing professionally for 30 years, and teaching privately for over 20 years. While attending Temple University, he had the opportunity to study with many of the finest performers and instructors in the Philadelphia region. Due to his interest in both classical music and jazz, his teachers included members of the Philadelphia Orchestra (Larry Wagner - Clarinet, Angelo DiMatteos - Flute) as well as some of the most well respected jazz players on the east coast.
