I began teaching 13 years ago though the Yamaha Teaching program, followed by giving private lessons 13 years ago back in my college years and have been teaching students all around the world since then, both in person in California, and through Zoom, online. I use the Rubank method of books as a traditonal conservatory approach to early progression. I find their systematic flow efficient and effective to consistent improvement. We would then move to fulfilling repertoire that would qualify the student for collegiate study and competitive performance. There is nothing that makes me more proud than to see my student improve and look back at how much progress they have made since they started. It's extremely important that I help my students move at a pace that they want to move at.
