It is my goal to customize the lesson experience for every student that I teach. Most beginners benefit from a method book, such as Hal Leonard's Essential Elements, which is a good starting place for most students. As students progress on their instrument, I choose the method books and solos that will best help them develop their talents as well as keep them engaged in the material. It is a joy to watch my students find enjoyment in music! I understand that each student progresses at their own rate, so I make it a point to always discuss with my students what their goals and hopes with lessons are. This allows me to tailor my lessons to each student's wants and needs, which in turn helps motivate them to practice and grow in their musicianship. In 2012, I graduated from the American Band College of Sam Houston State University with my Master's of Music degree in Conducting, and in 2008 I graduated from the Western Carolina University Honors College with my Bachelor's degree in Music Education.
