I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. I prefer one on one lesson time. Parents are welcome to stay and watch if they'd like. I don't have a particular style. The best teacher will teach their student how to teach themselves and how to critically listen to their playing. The most significant thing to know about my teaching style is that we will continually discuss methods of practice and the reasons behind what we are learning. I am a passionate educator and performer from the greater Boston area.  I love to see my students succeed and achieve their musical goals.  My students have gone on to the college level at University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and University of New Hampshire.  At the undergraduate level, I played with the UNH Wind Symphony and the UNH Symphony Orchestra for three years.  I have had two full solo recitals at UNH, and I have had the opportunity to be recorded on the Wind Symphony CD: The Music of Daniel Bukvitch.  Upon graduating with two degrees I moved to New York City. For beginning students who are children, I like to start with either the Rubank Elementary Method or Hal Leonard's Essential Elements, as I find these provide a strong foundation in proper technique and sound, and reading music. As we move through this method, I will introduce exercises to help the student further develop a good sound on their instrument. At the same time, we will also begin to play solo and duet repertoire. I love sharing the joys of music with others! I graduate from Marywood University in January 2017 with a Bachelors degree in Music Therapy. I took private vocal lessons starting when I was 14 years old. I was a part for my colleges chamber choir and I went on tour with them and performed throughout the US and Canada. The theme of the project covers the world of natural disasters like earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes and tornados. Igors band Innertextures represents Igor's passion for the music to journey to new and daring places. He is supported in this effort by alto saxophonist Greg Ward, bassist Chris Tordini and drummer Kenny Grohowski. Igor has released four CDs as a leader: Eleven (2018), Innertextures live (2012), Mineral Mind (2009), and Innertextures (2004).
