I really look forward to starting my teaching career with private lessons. I believe that it is necessary to really listen and communicate with the student about his/her goals and the techniques/exercises that I utilize to help them achieve their goals. In private lessons I think that each student requires a individualized practice scheme, pace, and form of encouragement to achieve his/her goals. Read More

This could range from working on a particular scale to solidify thumb crossover, to working on the use of a pick on guitar. I have developed a method for guitar students of all ages to quickly learn chords and scales so that they can not only learn the chord progression to songs, they can also find the correct scale to "solo" and improvise over them. Once the chord structure and scale are learned I accompany the student, playing along with them so that they can practice playing with another musician and soloing. I have also developed a full curriculum for teaching bass guitar to all ages and skill levels. Read More

I began lessons, and regular practice from there on. This new interest in music stoked a fire in my dads soul to begin playing drums again. He'd played regularly in a band til he was 18. Read More

I have played in venues from small coffee houses to The Paramount in Huntington, NY. I have played in many groups and ensembles as a premier performer and, of course, as part of the "tutti". I have studied under Micheal Bellajonas at Suffolk County Community College and Jerry Willard at Stony Brook University in my classical guitar studies. I maintain a violin/guitar duet with my wife, who is on her way to becoming a music educator. I've taught all different types of students and am very open and patient to everyone's needs. Read More
