I like to use lots of humor while I teach because I think learning should be fun, and music is an amazing art. I have studied piano privately for almost 10 years. My first experience teaching piano was in high-school, when I taught after school lessons. Corey has taught and directed music and theatre for youth for over 15 years. Corey was born and raised in southern Oregon where he spent his youth performing live music and theatre on stages like the Ross Ragland Theatre, The Linkville Playhouse, Oregon Stage Works, and Oregon Shakespeare Festival. He has been playing the guitar and drums, as well as acting and directing, since he was 12 years old. I also spend a lot of time developing proper technique with my students, to ensure that my students do not form bad habits that limit their improvement.
