For children and other beginners, I would start our lessons by encoding the basic function of music theory application of a drum pad. This will allow stick control and muscle memory to begin developing. As the beginner becomes more of a novice, I will introduce simple and repetitive songs and go over them as whole pieces. My first venture with popular music was in 1986 playing vibraphone with SinTrans, a jazz group founded at the Conservatory Amadeo Roldn. SinTrans got to perform at the International Jazz Festival in Havana in 1987 and 1988. In 1993 I moved to Stockholm, Sweden where I developed my professional career as a musician, performing and recording with many of the most prominent artists and acts in Sweden: Nordman, Bo Kaspers Orkester, Bebo Valds, Lill Lindfors, Peter Jback, Carola, Blacknuss All Stars, Stockholm Folk Big Band, Jonas Knutsson, Magnus Lindgren Radiojazzgruppen, Janne Tolf and Mats Holmkvists Big Band to name a few.
