I am very flexible with my teaching methods and put together the best style matching the student's learning strengths. Furthermore, I update and change my methods if I feel the current method is becoming ineffective. I keep my lessons interactive with the student because the time is for the student to retrieve as much information as he/she can regarding their instrument and they can build a stronger week of preparation heading into the next lesson. Currently my most used methods are teaching via classical, pop & jazz, and Suzuki methods. Read More

I am an inspired and hard-working instructor that strives to give his students the best education possible. I graduated from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music in Fall 2013 where I was a member of the top performing groups such as the Concert Jazz Orchestra and Pacific Standard Time. In my studies I have had the experience to play and learn from world class musicians and teachers. As a teacher I have worked with countless students at all levels of experience and cater my lessons to what the student wants to get out of learning music. Read More

My first emphasis is that you have to like what you're playing. I really try to focus on what music gets the student excited. For some of them, it comes quickly. Others it might take a while, and that is okay. Once I find the switch that engages the student's interest, that is my focus. I really emphasize getting students to read music and also understand the key components of music theory, so that they understand what it is they are playing. Read More

I set fun goals and I challenge each student every step of the way to help them reach them. I point out their strengths yet I keep a close eye on their weaknesses and work with them to eliminate any all bad habits in playing instruments. After a few weeks I quiz them and reward them for overcoming any obstacles. I really like to have my students play in front of friends and family after around 3 months of studying. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to high school when teaching and writing music for the drum line I was a member of. I taught privately through college and worked at music stores. I have taught at my own studio for a while and then went back to teaching at the community college. I decided to come back to teaching privately because teaching one on one is such a different teaching dynamic then teaching 45 students. Read More

My teaching style differs from student to student. With the younger students, it's all about fun. The goal is to make playing music less of a chore, and instead, have it be something they enjoy just as much as playing video games or soccer. For the adult students, and students interested in playing music professionally, I tend to give them more material at a much quick rate. Read More
