At that school I taught a vast range of ages, skill levels, and instruments, from 4 year old beginners, to teenage experts, to adults who needed a brush-up. I have been teaching for a little over a year now. My students range from ages 8 to almost 60. I specialize in helping beginners and intermediate drummers. I truly enjoy watching a musician accomplish something that they may not have thought was possible. I have so much fun playing the drums. It's of utmost importance to me that my students experience that same joy! For young beginning drum students, I begin with stick control exercises on drum pad. I teach music notation. They will learn how to read drum music as well as some general music theory that will help them to understand universal music theory a well. I teach the styles of rock, pop, folk, blues, and jazz style as well as marching band style.
