I started out teaching at music schools, and would often have up to 30 students in a week. I would have weekly lessons with my students, prepare them for their annual recitals, and communicate with parents after their child's progress. For beginner students of drums and piano, we start with the basics. That includes, grasping a solid understanding of common musical terms, and applying them to properly learn to read and play songs. Once a student has a solid grasp of basic music theory, I will begin to challenge them and push them to new heights with new standards, and more challenging pieces to play.
