I start students off with the skill of listening as I demonstrate how the instrument is played, and then move them into "speaking" by guiding them in the basics of technique that will allow them to begin producing basic sounds. My style includes but not limited to teaching from method books then moving to songs or a combination of both. I try to tailor my lessons to what the student wants to achieve and learn, such as a particular style.
