I'm a professional saxophone player based in Los Angeles. At the age of 10, I started playing saxophone because my parents were asking me if I was interested in music. I started my first saxophone quartet at the age of 12. I was accepted by Shanghai Conservatory of Music's Contemporary Music department in 2012 under the instruction of the jazz saxophone professor Xiaolu Zhang. In 2006, my love for music began at Temecula Middle School, which is where I played clarinet for three years and performed in Disneyland and Las Vegas. In 2013, I graduated from Temecula Valley High School and I completed four years of marching band there. I was clarinet section leader for one year and also played with the Bravura Youth Symphony Orchestra outside of school for three years. I graduated from Ithaca College School of Music with a BA in music composition and an instrumental emphasis on string bass and piano.
