I graduated Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor's degree in Cello Performance in 2016, and earned my Master's degree in Cello Performance from Southern Methodist University in 2018. I feel that a student needs to be taught how to practice! I travel around Westchester NY and in addition to teaching the instrument, I encourage students to compose their own original pieces. Taught all ages at eastman community school when studying at Eastman and was a Studio teaching assistant for Steven Doanes studio and taught first years undergrad students in group technique classes and one on one repertoire lessons. I normally use the Standard of Excellence method books for most of my students; however, I am open minded to adjusting to each individual student's musical needs, whether it be Jazz, Classical, or whatever style music the student is focusing on. For Drummers, I prefer the Haskell Harr Method, or the Buddy Rich Method Book, as well as the Breeze Easy Method Book. For piano instruction, I prefer the Faber Piano Method Books, as they are tailored to the students' individual needs. Read More
