I began playing cello in elementary school, and not soon after began participating in Youth Orchestras both in New Jersey and in New York. After attending several music festivals over the summer, I took an interest in music as a career. I use String Builder, Essential Elements, etudes, technical studies for each instrument and Suzuki Methods for strings and essential elements for clarinet. I emphasize good posture, holding the instrument and bow properly and correct finger placement. Also learning to play scales and music to prepare for auditions and a recital. I also teach students music theory and sight reading and assist with orchestral music. My students have been accepted to college conservatories with scholarship, have perform solo at Weill Recital Hall and Symphony Space, had many successfully audition for youth orchestras such as New York Youth and Westchester County Orchestra, and have had individuals receive score high marks at NYSSMA that earned them entrance to All-County and All-State.
