Hi, my name is Max. I graduated CSULB with a degree in Music Education. My main instruments is the violin but I enjoy playing and teaching most of the band and orchestra instruments. I am a string specialist (Violin, Viola Cello and Bass) but I also teaching flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, trumpet, trombone and piano. Generally, for my beginning students, I assign a regiment of short pieces and technical etudes from a variety of method books. I find this to be an effective way to build technique while also cultivating musicality. I have extensive experience as a teacher as well as a performer. I bring these two accomplishments together to provide a well rounded experience for my students.  In High School, I performed with the Kansas City Youth Symphony for 8 years, the Kansas City Cello Choir for eight years, the Missouri All-State for three years, and various other honor orchestras throughout her career. I have had 2 private students for the past year both for voice: -Zoe 15 -Lucas 13 I officially started teaching while I was with The After School All-Stars teaching their school of rock band. I was with them for 3 years and in that time I was able to not only have the students perform as a band but I also taught the students how to be "techies". Not all of them wanted to play instruments but they still wanted to be a part of the group so I said Why Not?"
